RT Health and Transport Health have been purchased by HCF, effective Nov - December 2021. Fee schedules in AA should be switched from AHSA to HCF.
May 2021 - Frank Health Insurance moved to using AHSA fee schedule on 1 May 2021. Previously they used 120% of MBS.
NIB 'Known-Gap' scheme.
MyOwn Health Insurance has changed it's name to AIA Health Insurance.
From July 2020, AHSA funds allow a total copayment of only $500 when using their gapcover scheme, rather than the previous $400 per item.
From July 2019, Defence personnel are managed by Bupa ADF Provider Network, not Medibank Health Solutions.
Grand United has left AHSA and is now using its own schedule which is slightly different to AHSA.
HBF has joined AHSA as of 13 Feb 2017, for all states except WA.
New AHSA Funds - Emergency Services Health Pty Ltd, from 9 Jan 2017 and Nurses & Midwives Health Pty Ltd, from 16 Jan 2017.
GMHBA joined AHSA in April 2016. There is no longer a 'Premium Benefit' schedule. The GMHBF brands Frank Health Insurance and Budget Direct Health Insurance, do not participate in AHSA gap cover, and you should use the GMHBA_FM schedule for these, which is 120% of the Medicare fee.
health.com.au is an AHSA fund.
Westfund - Eclipse ID changed from WDH to WFD. (AHSA fund)
AHM is owned by Medibank Private and should use the MP fee schedule
APIA is an NIB fund and should use the NIB fee schedule.
Bupa no longer pay gapcover rates at some hospitals, from August 2018.
