Here are some funds that clients are sometimes confused about ..

 

AHM - uses the MP fee schedule.

APIA - an NIB fund

Budget Direct - a GMHBA fund, pays 120% of Medicare for its gapcover product. (GMHBA is otherwise and AHSA fund.)

CUA - Credit Union Australia Ltd - an AHSA fund, once known as Credicare

Frank Health Insurance - a GMHBA fund, pays 120% of Medicare for its gapcover product. (GMHBA is otherwise and AHSA fund.)

HBF - a WA fund which uses the AHSA gapcover product except for WA specialist anaesthetists, who have a separate schedule (HBF_WA).

Health.com.au - an AHSA fund.

Manchester Unity - used to be its own fund, now a part of HCF.

myOwn - an AHSA fund, new in 2017. Name changed to AIA Health Insurance in early 2020.

Qantas Azure - an NIB fund.

RT Health and Transport Health have been purchased by HCF, effective Nov - December 2021.

Emergency Services Health Pty Ltd - an AHSA fund, new in 2017.

Nurses & Midwives Health Pty Ltd - an AHSA fund, new in 2017.

United Healthcare - an NIB fund
