There is no function to specifically manage accounts for which the Medicare rebate is accepted as full payment. Normally in this situation, an account is sent for the Medicare schedule fee (SF). Then, as described above, you can select the Medicare only (MO) account type on the Format page to insert a message indicating that the Medicare rebate will be accepted.
If this is done, the Payment page will have a notation to this effect as shown here. To accept a Medicare only payment, enter the payment as usual, then select Medicare only accepted from the Status menu. This will close the account. |
