Data check

Click the data check button on the bottom of the form to run a set of tests on the current account to check for missing or inappropriate data. If any errors are found a message will be shown.

Errors are divided into high- and low-priority, depending upon how much of a problem they are.

  DataCheck

You can specify whether to have the data check performed automatically when you press the Print now button by checking the appropriate box on the Automatic functions page of the Options form. If set on, when you press the Print now button the data check is performed. If any high-priority errors are found, a message will be displayed and you will have the option of cancelling the printout or ignoring the error to continue printing. You will not be notified of any low-priority errors in the automatic data check unless high-priority errors also exist. This check is not performed if you print an account or batch of accounts from the List of accounts.

When a new account is created, the account status is initially set to Further information required. After you have entered items into the Items page, the data check is done automatically. If no high-priority errors are found, the status is automatically set to Ready to send or Too early to send (depending upon the operation date, today's date and the operation-account delay specified on the Automatic functions page of the system Options). The full data check is only done on accounts which have not yet been printed. Consequently, if an Account date exists, an automatic check does not occur, and a manual check does not examine all potential errors.

As new features are added to Access Anaesthetics, we try to keep the data check up to date. However, the data check will not find all problems and should be considered a guide for finding major problems only.
