The ERA is missing for a paid claim

Sometimes an ERA is not retrievable for a claim after a lengthy delay, or for a claim which the health fund says has already been paid. This could mean either that Access Anaesthetics has not retrieved the ERA, or that the fund has not successfully sent it.

To check whether there is an ERA that AA has not retrieved ...

1.Go to the Eclipse Menu
2.Select Tools on the top menu bar, then Find Missing ERAs.
3.Click the <Search> button and enter a starting date which is the date the claim was lodged.
4.Accept the default of today's date for the finish date of the search.

The process will retrieve all ERAs generated for your practice in the selected period and match them with the ERAs currently recorded in your database. If any are found that have not been retrieved, you will be able to retrieve them with the buttons provided.

The search may take some time if you are searching back a long time. Note that Medicare normally only keeps reports for 6 months.

If you can't retrieve the ERA for a particular claim using this process, and the claim is at least 4 weeks old, it is likely that there is a problem at the health fund or Medicare end. We can follow up these issues with Medicare if you send us the details of the claim. To do this, go to the Eclipse tab for the claim and click the small blue <Copy> button on the top right. Paste the data into an email using CTRL V and send it to us.
