We do not support running a single user version of Access Anaesthetics on a network.

Group practices should set up Access Anaesthetics on a network server so that all workstations can use the same data. Considerations include ..

The program is installed on the local hard drive of all PCs that will access the network. Each PC needs to be registered separately.
The program does not need to be installed on the server. No special software is required on the server.
We recommend creating a new folder on the server called AADataFiles. All data, items and health fund files are put into this folder.
If possible, each PC should access the folder using the same mapped drive letter.
A dedicated server is not essential. A peer-to-peer network will work if there are only 2 or 3 PCs.
We strongly recommend against using a wireless network. Access Anaesthetics retrieves a lot of data across the network and even a momentary interruption can cause corruption of databases.
The files that need to be put on the server are all those with the .aau extension, all files labeled AAItems..., all files labeled AAFund... and the AASite.mdb file. If moving the data from a local PC, you should also move the \Documents and \Snapshots subfolders and their contents.
When the registration number is entered into the local PC, you will be provided with the option to link to the data on the server.
At any other time, you can link/relink to the server from the Maintenance Menu > Reattach data tables function.
If running Eclipse, you should set this up on each PC.

We strongly recommend setting up your practice on the AA virtual server, in preference to your own local area network.
