Can I cancel an Eclipse claim?

Once transmitted, Eclipse claims cannot be canceled or deleted. They are received by Medicare and the health fund almost instantly, and their processing procedures will have been activated. Deleting the claim in AA will have no effect other than to delete data that is currently being acted upon. If you need to cancel a transmitted claim, you should call the Medicare eBusiness line on 1800 700 199.

 

There is one exception to this. A Medicare Patient Claim may be deleted on the same day it was transmitted. There is a button on the Eclipse tab labeled <PCI - Same day delete> for this purpose.
