An LSPN is a Location Specific Provider Number. This is a number allocated by Medicare to all locations (indeed to individual devices) that provide diagnostic imaging services. Whenever you use a diagnostic imaging item such as 55130 or 55054, you must put the appropriate LSPN on the account (Operation page). The account will be rejected without it.

The LSPN can be obtained from the hospital or other location where the services is performed. Note that one hospital may have multiple LSPNs. In Access Anaesthetics, the LSPN can be saved in the hospital lookup table so that it is automatically entered when the hospital is selected. If you need to use more than one LSPN for a specific hospital, create additional entries in the hospitals lookup table.
