Access Anaesthetics is designed in Microsoft Access and requires Access to run. Access is a component of Microsoft Office, but not all versions of Microsoft Office include Access.

If you have a version of Microsoft Access from 1997 to 2016 then Access Anaesthetics will use this. If you don't have Microsoft Access, you don't need to buy it or upgrade your version of Office. Instead, install one of the free runtime versions of Access. These work in exactly the same way as the retail versions, except you cannot create your own databases. There are links to these on the trial version page.

Access Anaesthetics is a 32 bit program and requires a 32 bit version of MS Access. It will not run with 64 bit Access.

Note that for Access versions 2013 - 2016, the menu system does not work in the same way as 2010 and earlier. Click here for more details.
