Extension of Eclipse Certificates

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most AA sites have now had their PKI certificates extended by Medicare. Your current certificate expiry date will be shown on the lower right of the Eclipse Menu in AA.

When your certificate is extended, the date should appear as 23/06/2024. We have approval from Services Australia to use these certificates until at least 30/06/2022 while we transition sites to Medicare Webservices.

To manually check the expiry date, go to Eclipse Menu > Setup > Test > Test. Please contact us if your certificate has not been updated as Eclipse functions will not be possible once the certificate expires.

If you do not use Eclipse online claiming, you can ignore this.

March Items Update

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a new anaesthetic base item for revision total hip replacement - 21215 - 15 units.

There are also a number of new or modified surgical, DI and telehealth items.

As previously advised, changes to Medicare requirements beginning in March require that the start and finish times for anaesthetic procedures be documented in writing. We have adjusted AA to automatically send start and finish times in the Eclipse service text where appropriate, and the standard data check will alert users where the times are missing. There has been no change to time items and there is nothing additional that users need to do.

Full details are available on the Medicare website.

All health funds have been updated except ADF_Bupa and Grand United.
